Gabriela Lima is a filmmaker from Brazil who has been making a name for herself in the entertainment industry. She is best known for her award-winning short film “Soundproof”, which has received critical acclaim and has been featured in several prestigious film festivals around the world, and “The Talk,” a short film that tries to end the stigma surrounding menstruation and start a healthy conversation between parents and their daughters.
Gabriela is passionate about using her talents to give a voice to underrepresented groups, particularly Latino women who face ongoing struggles that are often ignored. Her commitment to raising awareness of important social issues has been evident throughout her career, and she has already produced a Primetime Emmy Award-winning show, “A&E’s Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath” and worked in the Netflix series “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.”
Currently engaged in a secret Marvel Series project, she’s now dedicated to shedding light on a hero from her homeland, Princess Isabel of Brazil, with her feature film “The Regent” that passed to the second round of the Sundance “Feature Film Lab” and got accepted into the Black Magic Collective’s “Producer’s Lab.”
Gabriela’s commitment to amplifying underrepresented voices has earned her recognition, including the HBO fellowship “Tomorrow Filmmakers Today” and Reel Champions’ “Executive Diversity Mentorship Program.”
